Opera at Bryn Mawr Film Institute
Sunday opera presentations at Bryn Mawr Film Institute include talks with staff from the Opera Company of Philadelphia. The half-hour talks begin at noon in the Multimedia Room.
Subscribers can exchange any performance in their series for another performance of the same opera. Exchanges may be made any time prior to the first performance of the opera in question (subject to availability), and must be obtained at the box office during regular box office hours.

Tickets for all individual performances will be available only at the box office to BMFI members starting
September 1, 2009, and to nonmembers on the day of each performance.

Single Performance Admission:
General Public - $25.00 - available at the box office on the day of the screening
BMFI Members - $22.50 - BMFI members can buy advance ticket at the box office starting September 1, 2009.
Please note: Both subscription tickets and single tickets are transferable to another person, but neither subscription tickets nor single tickets are refundable.

Mozart - Conducted by Adam Fischer and directed by Claus Guth at the Salzburg Festival - Starring Miah Persson, Isabel Leonard, Topi Lehtipuu, and Florian Boesch
Performed at the 2009 Salzburg Festival in Austria, Così Fan Tutte, the third and final collaboration between Mozart and librettist Lorenzo Da Ponte, explores the confusion of human relationships and the supposed lack of faithfulness among women. Emotional chaos coupled with Mozart’s radical sound is sure to enthrall.

Monteverdi - Conducted by Rinaldo Alessandrini and directed by Robert Wilson at Teatro alla Scala - Starring Georg Nigl, Roberta Invernizzi, and Sara Mingardo.
The dramatic power and lively orchestration of Monteverdi’s Baroque masterpiece reach new heights under conductor Rinaldo Alessandrini, a foremost interpreter of early Italian music, and avant-garde visionary Robert Wilson. Georg Nigl further fuels the fire onstage opposite Roberta Invernizzi, one of the most sought-after soprano soloists in the field of early music.
