Write a screenplay under the guidance of professional media-makers. Work with fellow aspiring screenwriters to learn the art and craft of screenwriting while telling a story that expresses your ideas in your voice. Benefit from the hand-on guidance of an experienced screenwriter and teacher, use current techniques, and learn life and job skills through the inspiring and collaborative process of creating a script. Once written, your screenplay won't gather dust on a shelf--it will be produced by the teenagers (perhaps including you) participating in our Summer Filmmaking Workshop.
The screenplay produced by the workshop will go into production during the 2010 Summer Filmmaking Workshop that will meet at Bryn Mawr Film Institute starting on June 28. This program is open to high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Space is limited, and an application is required. The deadline is Monday, February 22, though early application is recommended. Download the application below. Please call 610.527.4008 x105 for more information. Download the application form here. Applications may be emailed to adouglas@BrynMawrFilm.org or mailed to: Learn about the Summer Filmmaking Workshop here.
